From 1 July 2009 the Joomla Extensions Directory (the JED) is going to remove all commercial extensions as well as free ones that are encrypted but still under the GPL licence.

Some of our longstanding users will recall that the Joomla! integration of the FCK editor was originally licensed under the GPL,  so why did we change it? Well, we found ourselves in a situation where our integration was plagiarised in a competing editor on the JED.

It has always been our position and always will be to warmly welcome you to modify, adapt and change our code to best fit your needs. If you have a component and want to use a plug-in or a piece of our code – please go ahead, BUT do not blatantly rip off our work and claim it’s yours, come on now!
