Over the last few days, there were a few issues on our site which we have work through with the JED (Joomla! Extensions Directory). During this procedure our listing was temporally unpublished which we which we felt was avoidable. However, we are fully committed to work with those who manage the directory and have kindly asked them to work with us.

Our extension is one of the oldest listed on the JED. At the birth of our editor in 2005 we were encouraged to adopt ‘Joomla’ as part of our branding.  However, it would seam that the Joomla! branding has become a point of tension which has caused us to use our abbreviation ‘JCK’ on the JED. This has been done to bring our project inline with there new branding rules, please see: http://docs.joomla.org/Extensions_name.

I’m sure the reason for protecting the Joomla! branding is because Joomla! has been plagiarized in the past. Having journeyed through a similar situation, we are sympathetic with there position.
 

So  - please feel welcome to use our abbreviation ‘JCK’, or interchange between ‘JoomlaCK’ or ‘JCK’.
