Joomla has a helpful set of tools that informs the Administrator of the system configuration and software version. This information can play an essential part when troubleshooting setup problems. To locate this information, please select Help (on the top menu admin) and click on System Info. This provides useful information about your host server environment, including operating system, PHP settings, and directory access settings. You can navigate to five different screens: System Info, PHP Settings, Configuration File, Directory Permissions, and PHP Information. However, in general the information we require can be found on under the System Info tab:
To locate the version number of the editor, please visit Extensions > Install/Uninstall > Plugins in the backend administration area. Then scroll down and locate the editor on the list. To the right you will find the editors version number. Alternatively, you can locate your version detailed by clicking on the 'Info' button, found on the editor’s toolbar.
