After several months of development, we are pleased to announce the immediate release of the first stable, Joomla!™ integration of the CKEditor. Its performance is truly amazing, thanks to its brand-new state-of-the-art JavaScript API engine, which marks what many are calling the next generation of internet based editors. 

It's up-to-date with the new JavaScript development requirements, offering a rich and powerful integration and interaction API. Its architecture is totally plug-in based, and it can be extended and modified in all senses to fit all needs. It's fully screen reader compatible, keyboard only usable and complies with the W3C WCAG and the US Section 508 accessibility standards. It also offers a unique high contrast feature.

Brand new GUI:

The editor has a brand new Graphic User Interface. It comes equipped with 4 skins including the new CKSource Kama skin. In addition, we are excited to tell you about our stunning new translucent Office 2007 skin. Like a chameleon, the colour of skin can be defined in the editor’s parameters, so you can precisely match its colour to your needs. This is an innovative and unique skin that you'll only find in our JoomlaCK Editor!

File Browser:

The JoomlaCK editor comes equipped with the only open source file browser available for the CK engine. Our ‘Jfile browser’ is free to use in conjunction with the JoomlaCK editor. which allows for images, documents and files to be uploaded and stored on the server. This provides users with a simple but affective document management system.

Configurable:

It's much more than an ‘Out of the Box’ installation of the CKeditor! We’ve been under the hood and Joomla-ised its logic into a seamless and extendable integration. Developers can now choose what plug-ins, tool-bars and configure the editor for real-time editing with ease, via collections config files. This makes way for the future and we promise to take it places where others cannot go!
