Installing and Upgrading

The JoomlaCK editor is easy to install and upgrade. It does not require FTP access or programming knowledge and can be installed via the Administrator section using Joomla!’s 1.5 installer. It’s been reviewed as the best out of the box editor for Joomla!. It comes preconfigured & is not dependant upon a 3rd party component to work - which means it simple to install & user friendly to use!

To install or upgrade go to the back-end Administrator section and login with your 'Username' and 'Password'.



Once logged go to ‘Extensions’ and click on ‘Install/Uninstall’. This will take you a page titled ‘Extension Manager’.



Under `Upload Package File’ click on `Browse...’-> Navigate to the JoomlaCK Zip file -> select it -> click `Upload File & Install’.



The system will now automatically install or upgrade the Plug-in for you. Once completed it will inform you that the application has been successfully installed.

Upgrading:

If you are upgrading please note that you do not need to uninstall the editor, this means that you can now preserve your editors configuration and settings.

IMPORTANT: Once you have upgraded the the editor it is important that you clean out your browsers cached files for the new changes to be displayed correctly. Please see the following link for more information on how to perform: http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache.
