When I download the image editer I get the image manager. The icon looks like an editer, but I looked everywhere, but found no way to edit an image. Please help.

Hi hwevers,
Thank you for your post.
The JoomlaCK editor doesn’t include the image editor found in the 2.6.x series (JoomlaFCK), this because the plug-in had to undergo a massive amount of development to make it compatible with the new 3.x architecture. However, we have to release the plug-in with some other bespoke tools to the community under our Basic Membership subscription.
As you may know, the 'image editor'is still free in the 2.6.x series (JoomlaFCK)
To learn more about what’s under-the-hood in the 3.x Series – www.joomlackeditor.com/downloads/preview
Thanks,
P

I don't understand, I have subscription. The download of the imageeditor gives me the image manager. So how EXACTLY do I get the image editer for the3.x series of JoomlaCk?
One of the reasons to pay for the subscription was the editer. So please advise on how to downlaod it!

Paul,
I did all that, my problem is that the download in step 3 gives me the image manager
After installing this zip file. I do get the icon you show in step 3. Now comes my problem. I can't find a way to start the editer. I can manage images (as the download says) but I cannot get the editer started.

Hi hwevers ,
Can you provide me with a screen-shot of all the JCK plugins you have installed?
Would you be so kind as to go to Components > JoomlaCK Editor Manager > Control Panel > 'Plugin Manager' and provide me with a screen-shot of this page? It should contain a list on plugin’s with their icon’s.
Thanks,
P

OK - it looks like the JCK plugin has been installed with the icon - Thanks
Can you try cleaning out your browsers cached files for the new changes to be displayed correctly. Please see the following link for more information on how to perform: www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache.
If you are unsure that this has worked - try downloading and running Ccleaner ( www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner ). Make sure you close your browsers down before performing a clean.
Thanks,
P

Oh dear,
We do not seem to understand each other. Yes, theimage manager is installed.
Now, I want to edit the image in an article. I select the image and click on the icon you showed in your message. I get an image manager and am able to upload etc. But I want to edit the image (as shown in the images on your website). Same for rightclicking on the image. Only the image manager is shown.
So: when I go to your website, select download and then select image editor, then an image manager is installed.
Thus: where is my image editor, how can I edit my images as shown on the website.
Regards
henk

Thank you think I understand - it is not the case that the ‘image editor’ plugin cannot be found but rather your query is a user related issue, with regards to how to use the image editor!
I think you have arrived to the presumption that you can edit the image in the html code in the article, unfortunately this is not the way it works but rather the process of editing an image happens in the reverse fashion. This is because the image needs to be edited 1st before it can be applied to the article html.
1. Click on the on the image editor icon
2. Navigate to the image you what to edit (using the images editors file manager) and select the Edit icon directly below on the left side the image – this will open the image editor with the image selected.
3. Once you have finished editing the image > click on Save and ajust the quality of the image before applying by selecting the tick icon > close the dialog box and refresh. > select the edited image and apply it to the Article – job done!
Thanks,
P
