Errors when loading - local environment using xampp 1 Year, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
I am getting the following when loading the editor...

Warning: Parameter 1 to plgEditorALLVideosParameters::afterLoad() expected to be a reference, value given in C:\xampp\htdocs\xxx.local\libraries\joomla\event\event.php on line 67

Warning: Parameter 1 to plgEditorClient::afterLoad() expected to be a reference, value given in C:\xampp\htdocs\xxx.local\libraries\joomla\event\event.php on line 67

Warning: Parameter 1 to plgEditorParameters::afterLoad() expected to be a reference, value given in C:\xampp\htdocs\xxx.local\libraries\joomla\event\event.php on line 67

Warning: Parameter 1 to plgEditorSigParameters::afterLoad() expected to be a reference, value given in C:\xampp\htdocs\xxx.local\libraries\joomla\event\event.php on line 67

As you can see, I am using XAMPP with Joomla 1.5.20. It is a totally clean install with installin FCKJoomla as the first thing done.

I would have discussed this further on the thread that has already mentioned this error but it was locked.

The solution offered just doesn't work. I have set the error reporting to Simple in Joomla and still I have the problem. I tried changing the E_ALL etc as mention but that is deprecated in my version of PHP.

I have never managed to get JCKJoomla working since the first V3 release and I would love to use it for all my development.

Any help would be appreciated.

No luck and no help from anyone.

I have stopped using this editor now - pity because it is without doubt my favourite.

Hi Guys,

Thank you for your post.

This happening because your error reporting level set to high in xampp!

So as a result it is like getting a slap on the hand for anything PHP considers not the proper way of doing things.

Please see: www.joomlackeditor.com/forum/38-known-is...-error-in-qeventphpq for help.

Take care,

If you use JoomlaCK Editor, please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

How about reading my original post?

You will see that the error reporting level makes no difference.

What is the point of me putting all he details in a post in you don't bother reading it?

I would have continued that thead if you hadn't closed it.

As I said in the OP... I have nevr managed to get this editor working since it went to V3

Hi Snaxmuppet,

Thank you for your post and for pointing that out to me.

As you know - your error message points to the issue being related to one of Joomla core files. This is because the error is found at:
Code:

C:\xampp\htdocs\xxx.local\libraries\joomla\event\event.php on line 67
as detailed in the error message.

Whether or not it is related to your error reporting levels the logic behind our advice would be to point you in the direction of it being a configuration issue with xampp on your local environment. Presently the error message seam not to be related to the editor but rather to your configuration however, if you are able to find an error that would point to a fault being with the editor we would be happy to offer further assistance.

Take care,

Paul

Thanks,

How can I get the editor to know where my images folder is? When I browse to insert a picture it doesn't show my images folder and I have to enter the address of the picture manually instead of just picking a picture in the images folder.

Hi again Snaxmuppet,

This is really a new query so it might be better to start a new thread on this matter. In this way those who use the forums as a point of reference are better equipped to find an answer.

However – the parameters for changing the image path are located in the editors Joomla plugin. Go to > Extensions > Plugin Manger > Editor - JoomlaCK and open. Under ‘Parameters’ you are able to define the image path.

Take care,
