Hi gazz,

The readmore xtd-button by default is at the bottom underneath the editor window. Simply click that readmore button to insert a readmore HR tag.

Hi Guys,

Same problem, I have just installed the JCK 3.4.5 on a J1.6, and the ruler on the bottom of the article (the one with the read more, page brake, image and the other buttons) is missing.

I think this is a bug for the JCK for the 1.6.

Checked it in Chrome and FF.

Cheers.

Hi Jay1,

Thank you for your screen-shot.

The read more, page brake, images and the other buttons are classes as 'xtd-button', these are Joomla plugins are not controlled by the JoomlaCK Editor.

A possibility is that your Joomla user group does not have permission to use those buttons or maybe they have been disabled?

Take care,

P

If you use JCK Editor, please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi gazz ,

Thank you for your reply,

Does this happening if you use another editor?

If it is a isolated issue that only happens with our editor, would you be so kind to install Firebug (which is a 3rd party extensions for Firefox - addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1843/ ). Once installed would you open up Firebug > select the ‘Console’ Tab and copy and paste the ‘query’ where you received the error.

Thanks,

Hi ,

Thank you for your reply.

I was thinking about this last night and it might have something to do with a broken JCK plugin, maybe something did not install correctly?

Can you tell me which JCK plug-in you installed.

1. Can you click on the 'Sync button' in the JCK Manager? This will synchronize the JCK editor with this component and it will also remove any plugins that are broken during -> then clean cache and give it another go.
2. If this doesn’t work only disable the 3rd party plugin which you have installed -> then clean cache and give it another go.
3. If this doesn’t work try uninstalling the plugin which you have installed -> then clean cache and give it another go.
4. If this still doesn't work then we many have to uninstall the editor and reinstall it.

By doing this you will delete all the JCK plugins you have installed and hopefully fix the problem.

If it works try re-downloading and installing the plugins you need one by one and test it each time.

Thanks,

P

Hi Gazz,

Thanks for your reply.

I think one of the plugins is likely to be the cause of your problem.

Try making a backup of the editor directories (to keep a copy of your manual JCK plugin installation), then uninstall it and try reinstalling the editor -> clean cache and give it another go.
