set background color in v 3.3.1 - New Feature Request 1 Year, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello there,

the parameters do not show background color anymore. As my site has dark background, I want to use white font, so standard white background is very annoying to editors.

Can anyone give a hint in which file I can change the background color. I am using joomla 1.5.

Thank you!

OK,

Like pesmagnus said, in the v 3.3.1 of JoomlaCK editor, the option in the plug-in parameters to change the editor's background color is no more.

There was one before (like it's shown in the documentation here) and I'm wondering why they took out this very necessary option? If I have a dark website template with clear text (a few of my clients do), the white background of the editor poses a major problem.

Now, If they do not put it back or until they do, is there a way by CSS to manually change it? If so, can someone please show us the steps to achieve this? (Which CSS file to modify or add a line; what CSS tags must we use)... basically, give us a step by step example and it will be gratefully appreciated. (am also using joomla 1.5)

Thank you very much in advance for your precious help... and I speak for most of us!

Cheers!

Hi Guys,

Thank you for your post.

The background colour feature has not been removed from the JoomlaCK editor but rather has yet to be implemented in the 3x series.

I agreed that it is an important feature for some, so upon your approval I will move this to the known issues folder ( www.joomlackeditor.com/forum/38-known-issues ) and prioritize it as a bug (even thought technically it is a new feature request for the 3x series).

This will ensure it gets addressed in the next release.

Thanks,

Paul

If you use JoomlaCK Editor, please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Thank you Paul... It is indeed an essential option for some of my web clients that are not really happy about the update so far but, I told them that it would be solved soon (I hope so! ).

So, on my end, you have my approval to move this topic to what ever forum that could speed the process of getting the background color option back!

Thanks again and I will follow this.

Cheers!
