Hello,

when i install the editor i get this message:

* JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths
* Unable to create destination

There ist no installationpacket to install.

After that, i have to try to copy the files per hand in the folders. But it dosn´t works.
Can anyone help me.

What package are you using:

plg_jckeditor3.3.1.tar.gz or plg_jckeditor3.3.1.zip file?

Hi Paul,

when i use the plg_jckeditor3.3.1.tar.gz i get


* JFile::read: Unable to open file: 'F:\xampp\htdocs\tkarla\tmp/gzip4c25a8c889cf9'
* Unable to read archive

When i use the zip-File i get the other message.

Then i try the second way where i put in the path, but then i get the message:
Plese give in the packet path

Thank you for your post.

I have noticed from your file path that you are running Joomla locally (on your computer) with ‘xampp’.

Honestly, I have never tested the editor in ‘xampp’ but I expect that it is a permission issue. It sound like xampp is unable to ‘read’ or ‘open’ the tar.gz file.

i must be blind, because my temp path was wrong. Now its work perfectly.

I have similar problem, but I am not installing the editor locally. I am following the instructions but it is not working

I am testing the JCK editor for the first time. I am installing it by downloading the zip file (plg_jckeditor3.4.6_stable.zip), then using the Extension Manager in the Administrator page in Joomla to upload it. When I select the zip file in my computer and then I click on the "Upload File & Install" buttom, this error is presented:

JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Warning! Failed to move file.

Do I have to create a folder before? Where? My joomla directory has a differente name, not the "joomla" name. All the administrator functions work fine, but installing JCK Editor does not work.
